Super Slug 4oz - 10/0 hook
We developed these jigs for fishing for Coalfish in Norway as we found than 90% of all other jig heads could not take the abuse that Coalfish give and the hooks straightened or broke under the extreme pressure.
We used these jigs for casting from the boat in `A` for the huge Coalfish which were in massive numbers just under the surface.
Bring on the Super Slug Jig Heads, wide gape, extremel sharp but most importantly super strong.
We rig them with 20cm Savage Gear Sandeels and they are brilliant for Cod, Pollack and Coalfish, even caught Halibut on them to 50lb with no problems at all.
Additional image show the Super Slug rigged on the sandeel body, notice how much hook is clear of the lure, there is no mistaking when fishing with these jigs, when the hook goes in it stays in, especially in big fish.
