Brian Farral with a 16lb Barbel from the Royalty taken on a Storm 1.5lb test curve Barbel rod using a 2oz River Sinker made from a Do-it mould in the capture of the fish. The River sinker sticks to the river bed in a fast current.
A wrecking trip to field test the Fishtek Paddletail lures was better than expected. These two took at the same time, one a Paddletail the other a 7" Curl Tail, both were attached to a 20lb class rod and didn’t we have some fun. Paddletails continued to out fish everything else offered and accounted for fourty Cod that day. Try them, you will not be disappointed.
Yours truly withan 8lb 6oz Plaice taken out of Eastbourne a few years ago. Still to be bettered. This taken one one of our own design Plaice spoons, one of literally hundreds of Plaice taken on our spoons.
Fred Taylor, former Barbel record holder has turned his attention to Cod fishing and he appears to be good at this as well !. This one fell to a small lead head and Fishtek firetail grub hopping across a channel wreck.
My first 20lb Cod of 2009. Paddletails again catching the bigger fish and the most come to that. We fish them on 21g 7/0 wide gape jigs for the best results.
Nice Plaice taken on board Aladard out of Eastbourne in September this year. This one taken on one of our Double Bladed Plaice spoons, Plaice love them !.
22lb Cod, not bad for the first trip of the year. Mick claims to have caught this fish but I’m not so sure, think the Cod might have caught him. This one was taken hopping a paddletail.
